Facebook Unit

Quick little sketch done recently. Im as addicted to facebook as much as most people, so here we see what will happen when our ever advancing cybertechnology gets funded by social network companies like facebook.

As much as I love to try to pretend im not hooked, the dirty reality is that facebook takes over my life and dominates most of my internet usage. Once technology allows for reliable and cheap brain interfaces, the first thing to get used will likely be an internet connection, opening the door for the next stage in human evolution.
Where will facebook be then?

Sci fi City scenes

Well going through some of the concept art from our modding project I came across some early pieces. These were done on the blind as a sort of brainstorming session to come up with ideas for how the game looked. Naturally I began to compose some futuristic city pictures, inspired mainly from Blade Runner, The Fifth Element and any other film or game Iv experience with a cool city setting.

These showed the transition between two world states. The device there would flip the world over and allow the player to interact with objects in a different way. Unfortunately the details of the other world and what you could do there were never really fully realised by the time the project got pulled.

Pretty happy with how they came out and it gave me some much needed practice. Pity they wernt really used to any extent but I enjoyed the process.

Recent Stuff

Just thought Id post up some of the artwork I'd done for our recenty abandoned modding project. The project was scrapped for a variety or reasons but it left me with a lot of concept art that will likely be unused. The game was to experiment with the theme of escape. We had come up with the idea of our protagonist switching between two world states, the real world, being dark, drab and in serious decay and the dreamworld which was bright lush and verdant. I was tasked with creating the dreamworld side of things.

A sample level section. This would then flip to a drab looking realworld location, with platforms and items having an equivalent in both worlds.

More art to come in the future.
